We recommend that you use AmChart, an interactive flash chart creation software package that is available for free and adds additional functionality to your website.

Â
You can use this tool to insert dynamic charts in your Joomla site.
Let's go step by step through the process:
Step 1: Visit the AmChart Site and download the latest version of AmChart (the packages come in a zip file).
Step 2: Unzip the file and place everything in a folder called amchart on the c-drive of your computer.
Step 3: Start your FTP program and upload the folder to the server where your Joomla is installed (most likely this is in the public_html folder and/or www folder).
Step 4: Log in to Joomla as administrator and create a new article. Make sure you have the correct settings for Joomla to insert html code in an article otherwise the editor will clear the code after you save your article.
Step 5: Look at the html examples that come with the AmChart package. In the html files in the examples, you will find some html code that you need to insert in your article. For example, the chart you see below is created by the html text that comes in the html file from AmChart. See the box below the chart to view the html code we inserted in the article to generate a dynamic stock graph.
We used to have YOS amChart: a Joomla extension which integrates almost all AmChart features, but the extension is no longer available in the JED.
